Do you hire mentors, and does that require teaching experience?

We hire practitioner mentors continuously across every subject we teach. Teaching experience is not required — current professional practice in the subject is, and everyone teaches one paid demo class with real students before being confirmed.

What it is like to teach here

One batch, one subject, a fixed slot.

You take one batch, one or two evenings a week, in a subject you already work in. Batches are small enough that you know every student’s project, and the same batch stays with you through the program, so you see the work develop rather than marking strangers’ assignments.

The commitment is real: teaching slots are contracted, because students plan their week around them. In exchange, the rate is agreed before you start, the curriculum is already built, and you are not asked to sell anything to your students. Ever.

Most mentors say the useful side effect is clarity. Explaining your own working method to twenty people who will question it tends to sharpen how you do the job.

Do I need teaching experience to be a mentor?+

No. You need to be currently working in the field and able to explain your reasoning clearly under questioning. Everyone teaches a demo class with real students before being confirmed.

Is mentoring full-time?+

Usually not. Most mentors keep their industry role and teach a fixed weekly slot with us. Full-time roles exist in curriculum, student success and operations.

Can I work remotely?+

Mentoring is remote by default since batches run live online. Operations and student success roles are Kolkata-based or hybrid.

What is the pay for mentors?+

Per teaching hour, agreed before you start, and paid monthly. We will tell you the rate in the first conversation rather than after three rounds.

I am a former student. Can I apply?+

Yes, and several mentors and staff came that route — but for mentoring you still need current professional experience in the subject, not just having completed the course.
